More Boeings
Continuing the Boeing saga, I got called on July 8th for the P-MEMSSE1-06. Once again it was carrying Boeing jets and canopy cars. This time we had considerably less power, just a C44 and an SD40-2. The train was 83 loads, 0 empties, 4988 tons, and 7785 feet. By BNSF's own standards, based on tonnage alone this train should have had at least another SD40. The power desk never takes the length of these trains into consideration even though it greatly affects the train speed.

Once again we are looking back along the train while stopped at the bridge.

This time the second, and only trailing unit, is turned facing east which puts its cab far enough away that I can see back a little farther. By hanging out of the cab window and looking back, not looking in the mirror as the General Order states, I get a slightly better view on this particular train of the first car entering the bridge. Even so I can only observe the front of the first car of the seven high-wides on this train and it is not even one of the "stop & observe" restricted cars! Will it clear?

An-eye-tuh not An-ee-tuh
Sixty five miles later we are stopped on the main at Anita. Anita is the only siding for the last 100 miles where our 7800 ft long train will fit between switches. Here are two shots at West Anita as we wait for an eastbound coal empty to get out of our way.
